Swadlincote Pancake Races

The Swadlincote Pancake Races 2017 will take place on Shrove Tuesday 28 February in aid of Comic Relief Red Nose Day on The Delph market square in Swadlincote town centre.

The races will commence at noon, and will be preceded by pupils from Belmont Primary School competing from 11.15am.

Teams of four people can enter the pancake relay races – they can be from businesses, organisations, schools or just groups of friends. There is a £4 entry fee per team with all proceeds going to Comic Relief.

There are also mascot races, with sports teams, businesses and organisations competing – a great opportunity for businesses to promote themselves.

Winners receive trophies and medals, including the coveted ‘Swadlincote Golden Pan’ trophies. Fancy dress and corporate wear are also welcomed.

The action will be featured on social media using the hashtag #SwadPancakeRaces
