The Parklife Project is a funded project to develop physical activity in the urban core parks Eureka Park, Maurice Lea Memorial Park, Newhall Park and Swadlincote Woodlands. We are looking at providing a range of free or low cost activities using green space to attract more people into the parks, and to get them more involved in their development and management. The aim is to work across a multitude of teams and partners to deliver the project over a three year period.
We have a number of initiatives and ideas (some of which are from the public) that are in the process of being delivered or at planning stage. We have also delivered a number of consultation events on all the parks and are continuing to consult further with the public and attempting to reach every age group.
For further information contact the Parklife officer email: email@example.com ; mobile: 07814 569370.
Community involvement is an essential part of our attempts to improve the quality of our urban parks. If you are interested in finding out more about getting involved with this park or other parks within the district, please contact us using the details below.
