The Derbyshire Gold Card

The Gold Card Scheme is a travel and discount scheme administered by Derbyshire County Council.

The Derbyshire Countywide Gold Card Scheme allows people over the age of 60/65 and some people under the age of 60 with certain disabilities, access to free travel on selected bus and train services. Changes to the eligibility criteria have been made across the country.

How to apply for the first time

You can apply online or you can take your completed form with a passport photograph to the Civic Offices, Swadlincote, or one of the Post Offices in the district. You will need to provide your own photograph, unless you come to Civic Offices, Swadlincote where we can take one for you.

How to renew your Gold Card

If you need to apply for a new Gold Card please contact South Derbyshire District Council.
